PC engine - the little box that could.

 Back in the late 80's and early 90's being 'Arcade perfect' was a thing. Actually to me is was the main thing. I was a graphics whore back then, i'll admit it. If it was in an arcade, all new and shiny, i would pump its slots full of cash even if objectively the game wasn't that good, there was a lot of Shite in arcades to be sure.  Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja got more of my hard earned than it had any right too. Those Dudes were 'hella bad' though. Possibly, they were even 'rad' . Woah, gnarly. Arcade machines were so powerful, and home computers and consoles so lame (i'm even including noble efforts such as the NES and Master System in that statement), there was a gulf in quality (visually, aurally) between what could be played in the arcades versus what could be played in the home.
